About us…

The Color of Food Pastries is a small business, owned and operated by its Pastry Chef, Christina. We are dedicated to giving brides and grooms the best cake and pastries they could imagine for their special day. Remaining an intimate establishment, we are able to provide each and every couple the personal level of attention that we believe they deserve.      

 

What we provide…

At The Color of Food Pastries, we are able to supply you with pastries for every stage of the wedding planning process.  In addition to your cake for the big event, we also offer customized cakes, specialty pastries, and chocolate dipped strawberries for bridal showers, bachelor/ bachelorette parties, as well as for bridesmaid luncheons, rehearsal dinners, and reception sweet tables.  Also, ask about our chocolates and truffles with custom packaging for use as favors.   

What is The Color of Food?

 

The Color of Food is a business based on the philosophy of it’s founder, Chef Rodney Stockett.  Rodney believes that Food is prepared in a full spectrum of colors and flavors, which is very much reflective of the people who enjoy it. He feels that people from all cultures and backgrounds share a common bond through their enjoyment of food, wine and travel.  With the introduction of The Color of Food Pastries, Christina (Rodney’s wife) has taken his philosophy one step further to include the world of sweet delicacies.

 

 

The PastryChef

Chef Christina Stockett is a Baking and Pastry Arts Graduate of The Culinary Institute of America.  She has worked at Walt Disney World’s Chefs de France Restaurant, The Ritz Carlton Hotel Philadelphia, The Westin Philadelphia and The Hotel Sofitel Philadelphia.  Christina is certified in Viennoise pastries and boulangerie from E’cole Lenotre (Paris, France).

At The Color of Food Pastries, we take great pride in our personal level of service and true artistic vision. Our products are made from scratch, using the finest quality ingredients in all of our cakes and pastries. 

FreeConsultations and Tastings

 

Consultations and tastings with The Color of Food Pastries are free and available with no obligation.  You will meet with Chef Christina to customize your wedding cake and all of your other pastry needs. Prior to this meeting with you, we will first get to know you and some details about your wedding by conducting a phone “interview” when you call for your appointment.  This allows us to be better prepared with some specific flavors and designs that you might be interested in.  In order to be sure that you receive the attention you deserve, we do not double-book dates.  Contact us several months in advance to set up an appointment and block your date.  pastries@thecoloroffood.com

Prices

Our prices start at an affordable$2.50 per guest.  The price varies according to flavor and design selections.  There is a non-refundable deposit of 25% required upon placing order.  The balance of your payment is due two weeks prior to the event.  A delivery charge of $.75/mile will be charged for deliveries outside of the Blue Bell, King of Prussia, and Main Line areas.

 

 

Your Cake

At The Color of Food Pastries, we use only the finest ingredients available and do all of our baking from scratch.  We do not implement large-batch production. Instead, your cake will be baked specifically for you, resulting in the freshest cake possible for your special day.  All of our cakes generally consist of three moist layers of cake with two delicate layers of filling. We would like you to remember, however, that virtually anything is possible, and we will work with you to create the cake of your dreams.

Lastly, you will choose how you would like to “finish” your cake.  European Buttercream or Rolled Fondant will drape your cake, and we will customize the style of your cake to meet your every desire.
